Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators

We have reached the moment we have all been waiting for. Slash’s current rock band. Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators. This is what was made from having his own solo record, Slash R&FN’R, created. He met and jammed with a lot of new musicians. This is when he met with Todd Kerns, Brent Fitz and Mr. Miraculous, Myles mother******* Kennedy. (The young buck, Frank Sidoris, was later added to the band.) He chose these amazing human beings to tour with them across the world and they all noticed their chemistry as a band. Seeing as how they all are all at least forty, they have all been through the same things. They all went through their young and crazy teenager times as well as their drug addiction and rehabilitation phase. Today, in present times, they are older and mature men that only want to tour and play rock n’ roll. They are done with partying and all those negative things. Their only goal is to play music. They can now enjoy the road, their fans and the energy of a concert. I will link a video showing their process of making an album and then going out to tour and play. This video shows them being a very tight group. They are all great friends and have the same vision. These are all elements that are necessary to make an everlasting band.

SMKC has created three albums and hopefully there are many more on their way. The albums are Apocalyptic Love (2012), World On Fire (2014) and Living The Dream (2018). I recently bought the Apocalyptic Love CD to have in my car and I’m enjoying the hell out of it. It’s helped me memorize the lyrics better because I get to hear them every time I drive somewhere. Every album has a different feel to it but Apocalyptic love has a sort of crispy sound to it. The songs are hard and rocking. I know that songs about drugs, sex and death are negative, but not to me. They are life saving because they teach you things. These are things that they have lived through and are meant to teach. My favorite and recommended songs are Apocalyptic Love, Standing in the sun, You’re a Lie, No More Heroes, Anastasia, Not For Me and Far and Away. These are extremely beautiful songs. Trust me. If you don’t want to listen to crazy hard and fast songs, Hard & Fast is coincidently a song in this album, Far and Away is a beautiful and slow song for my romantic friends out there.

In comparison to Apocalyptic Love, World On Fire sounds more advanced and clearer. I can’t explain myself but it is a good change. It has a great sound to it because it sounds extremely refreshing. That is how I would describe WOF. Refreshing. My favorite and recommended songs are Shadow Life, Wicked Stone, 30 Years to Life, Bent to Fly, Stone Blind, Too Far Gone, Beneath the Savage Sun, Withered Delilah, Battleground, Dirty Girl and The Unholy. I know I gave away almost all the songs in the album, but trust me, this only shows how amazing the album is.

Living The Dream was the only album where I was present when it came out. I got to experience the teasers and the releases of the singles. I loved that feeling! The first single was Driving Rain. This great song had me so hyped because it was new. I was present in this part of history! I memorized it because I heard it so many times. I was extremely happy when I saw the first time they played it live. Obviously I saw it on youtube, but nevertheless, seeing them play Driving Rain for the first time in front of a crowd was sick. I will link this video below. Watch it!

Sorry, I couldn’t find the original video. This is the same exact video, just ignore the subtitles n.n

SMKC is easily my favorite band at the moment. I know I’ve been speaking very highly about Guns, Revolver and Snakepit but SMKC is just the perfect band. This band has gotten me through tough and stressful times. I love this band so much. I promise I will see them live. Please if you don’t wanna waste your time listening to my million recommendations, I will give you only one song per album. Try Apocalyptic Love/Far and Away for the AL album. For WOF, try our 30 Years to Life/ Battleground. For LTD, Driving Rain/The One You Loved is Gone. I know I said I’d show one song but I’m giving you a choice depending on what type of person you are. The first option is a hard and fast one while the second option is a slow one for my romantics. Go! Listen to Slash, Myles and the Conspirators!

  1. I am glad the band was able to see their chemistry between them and know that they all went through the same experiences growing up. I am happy that they passed through their drug addiction and rehabilitation phase. And I hope that these hard times that they went through will create amazing albums for the future.
